November 2017: BMW Group increases worldwide sales by 5.2%

At the end of the year, sales of the BMW Group is accelerating: In November 2017 worldwide 220.649 vehicles of the brands BMW, MINI and Rolls-were sold Royce, which represents an increase of 5.2 percent compared to the same month last year and is significantly above the average growth in the first ten months. As always, the core brand, BMW is for the main part of the sales responsibility, this 186.346 units correspond to an increase of 4.8 percent.

A once again impressive growth experienced in November 2017, the electrified vehicles of the BMW Group: 11.710 electric cars and Plug-in Hybrids were sold worldwide, 63.5 per cent more than in the same month last year. Thus, the company is on course to crack for the entire year of 2017, as previously announced, the mark of 100,000 sold cars with electrified propulsion. In the first eleven months of the 89.806 vehicles from BMW i, iPerformance and MINI Electric were sold.

How important is the Plug-in-Hybrid for the overall success of the group, suggests today on some of the individual markets: 22 percent of all sold in the U.S. BMW 5 series sedans were in November, a 530e iPerformance, in England, the BMW 330e even for a third of 3-series sales.

In the previous full year, the BMW Group comes to a paragraph of 2.229.497 units, and is 3.6 percent above the record level of the previous year. The core BMW brand will sell in 2017, well over two million vehicles and has already achieved prior to the start of the last month in the world 1.892.365 units. MINI sold so far 334.205 vehicles and is also on rate to a new record-breaking sales.

In the case of MINI, the second Generation of the City-SUV Countryman is responsible for rising sales numbers: Since the beginning of the year, sales grew by 25.1 percent to 73.686 units. Here, too, the Plug-in Hybrid for more than ten percent of the paragraph.
