So we are faced with exciting challenges which we gladly accept. From a sporting point of view, we want to improve in Italy this year, our record of success, of course. However, it is already now that it will be a very emotional weekend. Alex Zanardi to compete in front of his home Fans in a BMW M4 DTM to see, which should not only with us goosebumps. Already now a big thank you to the team at BMW Motorsport, which has taken up the challenge, Alex of the for him optimal technology for the control of the cars, equip. Countless hours and days worked to the innovative solutions. A unique System that will give Alex the opportunity, in the two strength-sapping DTM sprint race on the sea to go to the Limit to come. It will surely be a treat to see him on the track. I can only say: Forza, Alex!“

This is different this Time – but it is no less exciting to operate again in Motorsport at the highest level. I can’t wait to start the engine of my BMW M4 DTM. I was able to do in my life so many different things, and in terms of Motorsport as well as the racing series, which irritate me in my career, was the DTM, something I wanted to do still. I would like to thank BMW for this opportunity. And the BMW engineers made the conversion of the car once again, outstanding work and me and my needs in the best possible way. The course is new for everyone Involved, and without references from the previous years, we will start our work on Friday is virtually zero. For another, the schedule is an interesting challenge. The Team must switch from the usual time processes on a daily, which are later start and late night finishes. We are looking forward to the night race, the offer undoubtedly, a great spectacle for the Fans. It is also a class, Alex is in with us in the BMW family. He is a great person and he will amaze in the DTM. From a sporting perspective, our goal is to catch up, not necessarily to the front in both races in the fight for the top placements is a strong word to say in the matter.“

I have celebrated my first victory ever in Motorsport in the formula Renault. The atmosphere is class. The track is not far from the beach, and we drive to the first DTM race of the night. But we will have enough light to see the route in the dark. After my podium finish at Brands Hatch, I hope we can take this momentum over to Misano.“

I’m looking forward to all of the cases, because it is a new challenge and super interesting. It is also mega, that we have Alex Zanardi in the Team. I’m with him, the 24-hour race in Spa hazards, and a very big Fan of Alex. To have him in the DTM in the Team, is great, particularly in his native Italy. Of course in Misano is also a cool track. I’m there this year in the Italian GT championship. He is also the DTM cars really interesting, and offers some overtaking opportunities for a good Show.“
