July 2018: BMW Group worldwide sales minimum in Plus

The BMW Group increased its global sales in July 2018 will be minimal, matter of fact, the sales numbers on the previous year’s level. Since the beginning of the year, sales of the BMW Group rose by 1.6 percent to 1.423.565 vehicles of the brands BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce. The core BMW brand is a Plus of 1.9 percent in 1.213.833 units, MINI is 207.605 units (-0.2 percent) on the previous year’s level.

When looking at the series, the BMW X3 stands out especially thanks to the additional production in China and in South Africa and worldwide more available. Alone in July 2018 so 15.482 vehicles were sold, which represents an increase of 52.3% compared with the same month last year. Also impressive: Since the beginning of the year, sales of the BMW 5-series has increased worldwide by 16.2 percent to 221.732 units. The 5-series stands for about 18% of global BMW sales figures.

A Regional perspective, the growth of the BMW Group based in July 2018, mainly in Asia, Both in Europe and in the Americas, sales decreased slightly, while sales increased in Asia, mainly thanks to strong growth in China of 3.9 percent. For the previous year as a whole, all three for the sale of the company Central regions of the world, however, is in the Plus. The number of deliveries by BMW i, BMW iPerformance and MINI Electric models since the beginning of the year by over 40% over the corresponding prior-year period.”
