BMW X1 and X2 sDrive20d: New Diesel Option starting in the autumn of

The two compact SUV models of BMW are from the fall of 2018 as a BMW X1 sDrive20d and X2 sDrive20d available. The new Option is of no Surprise and also not with new technology, it changes only the range of logic: The 190 HP and 400 Newton meters of bidder four-cylinder Diesel B47, which is equipped for several months, even in the weaker versions with twin turbochargers, was in X1 and X2 so far, only with all-wheel drive xDrive.

The new models combine the 20d engine with front wheel drive and are therefore also more efficient than the four-wheel drive models, which have a more complex and, therefore, something drivetrain heavier. In the case of the BMW X1 sDrive20d this means that the EU-standard fuel consumption in comparison to the xDrive20d 0.2 drops to 4.6 litres. The CO2 emissions per kilometre are reduced to 122 grams. The BMW X2 sDrive20d depending on the tyres on consumption of 4.4 to 4.7 liters and emissions of 115 to 123 grams.

BMW X1 sDrive20d and X2 sDrive20d are equipped as standard with eight-speed automatic and acceleration in 7.9 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h. The four-wheel drive models are slightly in the advantage and speed thanks to its better traction a little faster at highway speed: The X1 xDrive20d is stated at 7.8 seconds for the X2 xDrive20d 7.7 seconds in the data sheet. The maximum speed of the 20d-models is in all cases at around 220 km/h.

From the autumn of 2018 new to the program, the BMW X2 xDrive18d with eight-speed automatic because of the 150-PS-Diesel-only, with manual gearbox is available. With Steptronic gearbox, the Sprint lasts from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.4 seconds and is, therefore, 0.2 seconds slower than in the case of the lighter X2 xDrive18d with a manual transmission. Consumption of the benefits of the wider spread, on the other hand, thanks to the additional gears: Instead of 4.9 to 5.2 liters 4.7 to 4.9 liters in the data sheet, the CO2-emissions are reduced to 123 to 130 grams per Kilometer.

For more technology Updates for the X1 to be expected, we are already in 2019, because then the large BMW X1 Facelift with a new Cockpit.
